What We Believe

The Triune God

We Believe: There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6).

The Living Word of God

We Believe:Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory (John 1:1,14, 20:28; 1Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6,9-10; 1Timothy 2:5).

We Believe: Jesus Christ was conceived by God the Father, through the Holy Spirit (the third person of the Trinity) in the virgin Mary’s womb; therefore, He is the Son of God (Matthew 1:18, 25; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:27-35).

We Believe: Christ is the fulfillment and the end of the law [Romans 10:4].  No one will be declared righteous in God’s sight through the law [Romans 3:20].  Rather the law was a guardian until Christ would come to redeem from the law by fulfilling the requirements of law for us and imparting His Righteousness to us apart from the law which we receive by faith [Galatians 3:24-29].

We Believe: Christ is the beginning and the end of all things[Revelations 22:13] and by him all things were made and held together.

The Finished Work Of The Cross

We Believe: That through Christ’s finished work on the the cross, there is fresh Grace, daily,  for every failing [Lamentations 3:22-23].  That our righteous standing with the Father is base on Christ’s righteousness NOT ours.  Therefore, when we fall short we confess that we are the righteousness of God IN CHRIST BY FAITH.  We believe that by doing so, HIS resurrection Power will be free to work in us to drive out the symptoms of the curse in our lives  which Christ has redeemed us from [Galatians 3:13].

We Believe: Christ made us righteous apart from our works (or own righteousness) [Titus 3:5-6; Philippians 3:9; Romans 4:6-8], and has perfected us by His unmerited favor through the Offering of His precious Son on the Cross [Hebrews 8:12; Titus 3:7].  For a believer to live trying to please God by their works or good doing/living (in essence seeking righteousness through the law) is to make Christ’s death of no effect [Galatians 2:16,21].  Righteousness is NOT something achieved or obtained; you don’t work for it BUT rather you receive as a free gift by faith [Revelations 1:5-6; Romans 4:13-14,16a].

We Believe:  We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, 3:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 1:7].  It is also eternal and irrevocable [John 10:28-29].

We Believe:  The Cross gives every believer the ability to overcome every sinful temptation, destructive habit or addiction by having faith in God and His Son [Galatians 3:1-6,10] and living their lives by the Faith of the Son of God and the Finished Work of the Cross [Ephesians 4:24; Galatians 2:20] which has made us righteous, sanctified, redeemed, and wise [1 Corinthians 1:30]. There is no mistake one can make that is greater than God’s Grace and Favor in our lives nor is there anything that can separate us from His Love [Romans 8:35,38-39].

We Believe:  Forgiveness of sins and healing go hand-in-hand [Psalms 103:3; Luke 5:20-25; Mathew 9:2-7; Mark 2:3-12; 1 Peter 2:24].  To the degree you rest in the His finished work on the cross, the forgiveness of all of your sins… To that degree will you be able to receive the healing that was purchased for you on Calvary.  In addition, healing of the sick is evidence in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is also a sign which should follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus’ work on the Cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit [Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28].

The Written Word of God

We Believe: The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself of both His Heart and His Intentions toward man[John 3:16].  We see it as a deeply, loving, expression of His love for us throughout all of its pages.  It is also the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant (2Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26). This Loving Father has delivered us from the powers of darkness and has brought us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son Jesus [Colossians 1:12-14].

The Spirit of God

We Believe:  The Holy Spirit is a better Teacher than we could ever be.  Therefore, we facilitate we don’t dictate the Gospel.  God Himself is our Teacher [Hebrews 8:10-11; John 10:27].

Spiritual Leadership

We Believe:  We are all sheep and that there is only One True Shepherd: Jesus[1 Peter 2:25; Hebrews 13:20; John 10:14-16].  Therefore, we who have been privileged to lead do so with the understanding that we, ourselves, are sheep too.  We are no better than those we honored to lead [Mark 10:42-45; Mathew 20:25-28].  The Holy Spirit is a better Teacher than we could ever be.  Therefore, we facilitate we don’t dictate the Gospel.  God Himself is our Teacher [Hebrews 8:10-11].

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We Believe:  Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the church to live the life Christ paid for us on the cross.  It also empowers us to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth with signs and wonders following.  It is evidenced by the speaking in tongues  [Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6].

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We Believe:  The Holy Spirit imparts a variety of spiritual  gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. These gifts, though diverse, always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and be used within biblical parameters (Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11, 12 :4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 2 Timothy 1:5-16, 4:14; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-40; 1 Peter 4:10).

Holy Communion

We Believe:  This to be a Holy Convocation  as believers gather together in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken.  In partaking of communion we declaring the death of our Lord until He returns [Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; 1Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25].  We are declaring to the powers of the darkness that they no longer have rights to us and all that is ours.  That we are complete in Christ made whole and righteous our sins forgiven and reminding them of their defeat at Calvary [Colossians 2:10-15].  Communion shall be observed regularly by all established places of worship.  In addition we encourage every believer that worships with us regularly to partake with their families at home  as often as each believer deem it appropriate and needed.

Water Baptism

We Believe:  The ordinance of water baptism (Matt. 28:19) shall be administered by all established places of worship to all those who have repented of their sins and who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ to the saving of their souls (Rom. 6:3-5; Col. 2:12).
