Joaquin and Sharon Gonzalez
Global Lead Pastors
Joaquin and Sharon lead Pure Grace Ministries, a local community church living the Act Chapter 2 life with a tremendous global reach. In addition to their local leaders and laypersons, they also lead a global community of over 1oo pastors and leaders in spreading the Gospel of Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Joaquin served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper honorably for over six years including the 1991 Persian Gulf War. Then he was both a security and a banking executive for over 20 years prior to assuming the senior pastorate. As part of his journey, he attended seminary school, has been a Sunday School Teacher, Young Adult and Youth Pastor, and Men’s Ministry Director.
In addition to various ministerial positions, Sharon’s career path was always marked by new ventures… spearheading a desktop publishing department, editor-in-chief of a new employee newsletter, and even launching her own business.
And as teammates, Joaquin and Sharon’s passion is clear…
To unveil a loving God who is present and active in our lives. A Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally, just the way we are, with no strings attached. And a caring personal Savior who is not a distant deity.
Joe and Terry Carson
Associate Pastors
Joe and Terry are both part of the founding Elders of Pure Grace Ministries. They have been married for over 60 years! Joe has been walking with the Lord for most of his 83 years! He’s been involved in virtually all aspects of the ministry and is a wonderful father to many, especially to Sharon and Joaquin!
He is full of wisdom and insight into the heart of God garnered through his many years of walking with the Lord. Pastor Joe… He’s not yet 85… but he can still run circles around folks half his age!!!
Terry is a faithful and caring spiritual mother to many at Pure Grace. Her wisdom, compassion, and spiritual insight help the leadership team steer the course for the ministry. She is passionate about prayer and intercession and co-leads the prayer ministry with Joe.
Larry Pope
Senior Elder
Larry leads Pure Grace’s “Partners-In-Prayer”, one-on-one prayer sessions to help strengthen and edify individual personal prayer time.
The aim of these prayer partnerships is to encourage and uplift one another, while seeking the wisdom and intervention of God. These partnerships are also intended to model the character of Christ through unified prayer, while forging deeper intimacy with the heart of our heavenly Father.
The highest goal of “Partners in Prayer” is to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus through individual prayer sessions. The motivating factor for team members who participate in these partnerships is to improve their communication with the heavenly Father through personal prayer, worship, and learning to be still and listen.
Jeannette Palma
Board Elder
Jeannette is a seasoned believer with a wealth of life experience and wisdom. Trials, heartaches, disappointments, triumphs, and victories. Jeannette’s journey has made her the woman she is today… both well rounded and grounded in the faith. She is a strong woman of God with a faith forged in fire. She possesses a tender and sensitive heart for others.
Jeannette also brings valuable skills and abilities to the Pure Grace Board. She has a wealth of life and business experience, as well as unique talents to benefit the Kingdom.
Most of all, we esteem Jeannette… not because of what she can bring to the table… but ultimately for WHO she is. A spiritual woman of great integrity. Pure Grace Ministries is very blessed to have Jeannette on our Board.
